"Pay Homage To 〉· AMITABHA · RADIO" ·here·
With form, features and radiance unequalled,
White curls winding like the five Sumeru Mountains.
And purple eyes as clear as the four great seas,
In his aura are transformed Buddhas in countless million,
And transformed Bodhisattvas, also, in limitless number;
Forty-eight vows be made to enlighten sentient beings
And to enable all nine grades to reach the other shore.
Blessed be the Most Compassionate one of the Western Paradise,

GET AWAKEN FROM CHANTING NAMO “AMITABHA”
Buddha means awakening.
Chanting Buddha’s name is aspiring to awakening;
Chanting Buddha’s name unceasingly brings unwavered awakening.
Immature effort of chanting Buddha’s name does not yield awakening.
Awakened from what?
Awakened from what?
Awakened from the erroneous, therefore cease the erroneous deeds;
awakened from the virtuous, therefore cultivate the virtuous deeds;
awakened from the preposterous,
therefore cease the preposterous deeds
and bring out the untarnished heart;
awakened from jealousy,
therefore cease the jealous sentiment
and develop a heart of joyful engagement.
Consequently, chanting Buddha's name fruitlessly is --
being unconscious of continuous attachment with the egoistic mind,
being unconscious of relentless rise and fall of jealous sentiment,
being unconscious of arrogance surge,
being unconscious of unceasing greed,
being unconscious of burning aversion --
all these indeed are results of chanting Buddha's name without skill .
How does a Buddha recitation practitioner achieve steadfast awakening ?
As The Six Patriarch of Ch’an School of Buddhism has set forth:
“Humility at heart brings forth spiritual deliverance”,
such is the motto of a Buddha recitation practitioner.

@@@@The ceremony originated from the Taung Dynasty. It was said that in the Taung Dynasty, Zher Shuan, the Dharma Master of the Wu Da kingdom, indulged in the power of his position. His greed and indulgence created an opportunity for his past-life enemies to take revenge. As a result, wounds grew on his knees. The wounds resembled the faces of his past enemies and were incurable.
After having been washed with the samadhi dharma water by the Venerable Ja Ro Ja, Zher Shuan’s wounds on his knees were cured. At the same time, his sin was released and resolved. By means of sincere repentance prostration, one can resolve the hatred with past enemies and avoid misfortune and accumulate blessings.

Lord Buddha

The Buddha explained how to handle insult and maintain compassion.
One day Buddha was walking through a village. A very angry and rude young man came up and began insulting him. "You have no right teaching others," he shouted. "You are as stupid as everyone else. You are nothing but a fake."
Buddha was not upset by these insults. Instead he asked the young man "Tell me, if you buy a gift for someone, and that person does not take it, to whom does the gift belong?"
The man was surprised to be asked such a strange question and answered, "It would belong to me, because I bought the gift."
The Buddha smiled and said, "That is correct. And it is exactly the same with your anger. If you become angry with me and I do not get insulted, then the anger falls back on you. You are then the only one who becomes unhappy, not me. All you have done is hurt yourself."
"If you want to stop hurting yourself, you must get rid of your anger and become loving instead. When you hate others, you yourself become unhappy. But when you love others, everyone is happy."
The young man listened closely to these wise words of the Buddha. "You are right, o Enlightened One, "he said. "Please teach me the path of love. I wish to become your follower."
The Buddha answered kindly, "Of course. I teach anyone who truly wants to learn. Come with me."
